National Assembly of State Arts Agencies
From Sept 10th -12th, 2008 John Moore, Principal of JOMA Arts&Consulting, LLC, facilitated the Deputy Director peer session discussions on various management and leadership topics. These meetings gave the Deputy/Assistant Director staff member the chance to network, share ideas and exchange perspectives with friends and colleagues.
NASAA conferences occur annually in a pre-determined city. They provide essential education, networking and leadership opportunities for state arts agency staff and volunteers. Designed to both inform and inspire, the agenda includes briefing sessions as well as workshops, featured artists and speakers.

I Once Was Lost
A SCRIPT-IN-PROCESS
It is the memoir/testimony of young man who moved from a “charmed life“, to utter hopelessness and destitution, and then to, miraculously, grace and redemption. It is a true story, fully documented through prison/jail records, hospital/treatment center records, and school records.
Told in vivid detail of his travels through college, graduate and medical school and charging forward to a drug induced downward spiral. His addiction, the attendant consequences were massive and lasted for years. The horrors of family abuse, stolen money, shoplifting, stolen checks, loss of integrity and self-respect and - on and on and on …. But it did end, finally. And through it all, he kept his sanity and had softer landing than he deserved. It is a story of love, faith and family in the face of sheer insanity.
I Once Was Lost is currently being edited and could evolve into a book and ultimately a commercial film.
